I am a board-certified OB/Gyn with deep roots in the DMV. Becoming an OB/Gyn has always been my calling and I truly believe there is no higher privilege than caring for someone through their most joyful and challenging life moments. My care philosophy centers around providing holistic, nonjudgmental, and patient-centered care for all. I strive to provide a safe environment and meet every patient with open ears, heart, and mind, regardless of their sexual or gender identity.
Over a decade ago I worked at Fenway Community Health in Boston organizing health outreach programs for women in the LGBTQIA+ community. I saw healthcare at its best, and heard stories of its worst. I’ve been amazed to see the difference in awareness and access to LGBTQIA+ healthcare over the last 10+ years, although there is still a long way to go in educating healthcare providers and overcoming systemic biases. I’m proud and excited to be surrounded by people at Advantia and beyond who are committed to improving care for the LGBTQIA+ community.
