About Dr. Kisthardt
Dr. Kisthardt returns to Physicians and Midwives after an 8 year hiatus. She grew up in a small town in northeast Pennsylvania, and after having her first child in 2005 she moved to PA to be closer to her parents. While there, she continued to practice full scope Ob/Gyn. But after several years of her husband continuing to commute for his IT job to the D.C. area, they happily chose to return to their beloved Alexandria and P&M. Dr. Kisthardt initially moved to Alexandria in 1998 after completing her residency training in Ob/Gyn at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. This was preceeded by earning her medcal doctorate at Jefferson Medical College and her Bachelor of Science from Ursinus College.
She is board certified and enjoys all aspects of full scope Obstetrics and Gynecolgic care. She will be a part time member of the practice. She loves to hike with her family (which now also includes a daughter born in PA) and engage in any physical fitness activity she can, as well as cramming for the next book for her book club. She is just thrilled to be back and honored to serve the community once again.

“I saw Dr. Anne Kisthard. She was very thorough in her examination and explained everything very clearly. She did not only answer questions but she explained what she was looking at while she was doing so. This way I learned several things I had never been told and did not know enough to ask. She was also easy to talk to. It was a first-rate examination.”
